The high-tech industrial development zone of the Xiongan New Area in north China’s Hebei Province commenced operations on Thursday.

The official approval for establishing the high-tech zone was announced by the provincial government at the end of last year.

The development will prioritize high-end modern service industries focusing on scientific and technological services, business services, and comprehensive free trade services. Additionally, plans have been made for five parks dedicated to space, information, biotechnology, new materials, and future science and technology, according to the government.
